Foster Homes Save Lives!

The feeling of leaving an overcrowded shelter with a dog or cat, knowing you just saved that animal from an uncertain future, is an indescribable emotional high.

Bringing a new animal into your home is never smooth. There’s always an adjustment period (two weeks!) while you find your new normal. During that time, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and lost.

Luckily, this period is short lived. After a day or two, that whole “what was I thinking” thing becomes replaced by, “seeing their growth is the most amazing thing I’ve witnessed, fostering is amazing.” We have an army of knowledgeable, seasoned, close knit fosters/volunteers ready and willing to help whenever and wherever.

Save Monroe Strays takes care of everything - food, bedding, vet bills, litter, leashes, crates, toys, etc...

You supply the home, the love, and the guidance to allow the animal to flourish while they wait to meet their future families.
